Vasileios Georgopoulos

Vasileios Georgopoulos is a Theoretical Physicist, a graduate of the Department of Physics at the University of Patras, and a Ph.D. Candidate in Biomechanics and Artificial Intelligence. He also holds two Master’s degrees from the same university: one in Theoretical and Computational Physics & Astrophysics, and another in Leadership Science and Educational Administration. His academic background combines analytical and computational foundations with interdisciplinary research in complex physical systems, enabling him to work effectively at the interface of high-performance computing, fluid mechanics, and applied industrial innovation.

Within the easyHPC Project, he serves as Research and Development Manager, supporting the dissemination of technological and scientific results and bringing forward innovative solutions in high-performance computing and the plastics industry. His role includes collaboration with European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs), industrial partners, and related organizations, as well as the organization and supervision of workshops, conferences, and study visits. He also contributes to market and technological intelligence activities, monitoring competition trends, assessing the position of plastics-sector industries, and jointly developing archetypes and roadmaps with the Networking and Market Analyst. Furthermore, he supports the identification and promotion of emerging HPC-related innovations through the Innovation Radar, helping connect promising solutions with investors and industrial stakeholders.

At Patras Science Park, he holds the same role, contributing to project-related operational procedures, reporting activities, and Digital Transfer Accelerator initiatives that support the Park’s research and innovation mission. Concurrently, he also serves as Information Technology Manager, overseeing the operation, security, and maintenance of the Park’s computing and networking infrastructure, telecommunications, and technological equipment. His responsibilities further include the digital transformation and optimization of internal processes, the implementation of data management and cybersecurity protocols, and the continuous modernization of the Park’s IT ecosystem.

Evangelia Gralista

Web Design Internship

Evangelia Gralista from Trikala,Greece is in her senior year at University of Patras in the department of mathematics. She is currently working as a web design intern at Patras Science Park (PSP).

Vicky Tomara

Development Director

Vicky studied Business Administration at Athens University of Economics and Business and she got a M.B.A. from University of Patras. Her experience and background focus on supporting businesses-academia partnerships. Especially, she has been primarily activated in innovation supporting tools, while she worked in the past as an economist and research project manager in the industry. She has a good knowledge of the Greek innovation ecosystem actors, including academia, research institutes, regional and central governmental organizations, entrepreneurs and industry. She contributed to the launch and development of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Office of the University of Patras where she served as a Technology Transfer Consultant for 4 years. She acted as the principal organizational officer on behalf of the University of Patras for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Patras IQ Innovation Exhibition. Also, she contributed to the launch and development of the Technology Transfer Office of Patras Science Park and she involved in the building of the collaborative network between both CERN procurement and CERN Technology Transfer Group with the Greek start up community & enterprises. She is currently the Development Director in Patras Science Park, she is member of the Advisory Board of the Proof of Concept and she participates in the selection committee in various regional innovation competitions.
