Blue Innovation Hub
Blue Innovation HUB is a joint initiative of leading academic research labs and Patras Science Park with the aim to exploit research results and promote innovation, new product development and business partnerships in the field of blue growth.
The primary objective of the HUB is to consolidate, foster and coordinate
community activities towards the development of products and applications based on blue growth, thus creating for its members new perspectives for research, technological and entrepreneurial cooperations.
Specifically:
- Creation of conditions to attract new scientists, development centers, business
- Strong bonds between labs and industry
- Undertake a leading role at national level and creating collaborations at international level (key player, landmark, brand name)
- Development of prototype products, concepts, applications, fundamental studies in various industrial sectors and research fields
- Commercialization and IP management of research results
- Cooperation with the industry
- Participation in national and international projects
- Increase networking, international links and create a distinctive HUB Brand name
- Exploitation of financial tools and mechanisms to support members

BOOSTING INNOVATION FOR MEDITERRANEAN BLUE GROWTH
The EU Blue Growth initiative is a long-term strategy with a recent history characterised by a strong integration with the EU Cohesion policy, which placed maritime investments at the centre of regional cooperation. The workshop shares the strategies and experiences developed by Mediterranean Regions for promoting innovation across all sectors of the blue economy in the current multiannual financial framework. Starting from this baseline, politicians and research experts will set a new cooperation framework for addressing the innovation challenges of the Blue Growth in the new programming period.

ΔΙΑΜΕΣΟΛΑΒΗΤΙΚΗ ΕΚΔΗΛΩΣΗ (BROKERAGE EVENT), 3Η ΔΙΑΚΡΑΤΙΚΗ ΕΠΙΣΚΕΨΗ (CROSS-FIELD VISIT) ΚΑΙ 4Η ΣΥΝΑΝΤΗΣΗ ΕΤΑΙΡΩΝ ΣΤΗ ΘΕΣΣΑΛΟΝΙΚΗ ΣΤΑ ΠΛΑΙΣΙΑ ΤΟΥ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ BLUE_BOOST
Στις 5, 6 και 7 Ιουνίου 2019, το Εμπορικό και Βιομηχανικό Επιμελητήριο Θεσσαλονίκης οργάνωσε και φιλοξένησε τη Διαμεσολαβητική εκδήλωση (Brokerage event), την 3η Διακρατική επίσκεψη (Cross-Field Visit) και την 4η Συνάντηση (Steering Committee) αντίστοιχα στη Θεσσαλονίκη. Οι εταίροι του έργου από τις 7 περιοχές της Αδριατικής συμμετείχαν μαζί με τις αντιπροσωπείες τους, αποτελούμενες από Πολύ Μικρές-Μικρομεσαίες (ΠΜΜΕ) και Νεοφυείς Επιχειρήσεις (Start-Up) καθώς και από Πάροχους Τεχνογνωσίας (Knowledge Providers: Δημόσιοι/ Ιδιωτικοί Ερευνητικοί Φορείς, Εξειδικευμένες Επιχειρήσεις, καθώς και Νέοι Μη Θεσμικοί Φορείς Καινοτομίας), δημιουργώντας ένα ευνοϊκό έδαφος για μεταφορά γνώσεων και ευκαιρίες για διακρατική συνεργασία στο πλαίσιο δραστηριοτήτων του έργου.
Ευκαιρίες για επιχειρήσεις από τις δράσεις έργων στη Γαλάζια Ανάπτυξη στην Περιφέρεια Δυτικής Ελλάδος.
